Summer at Patchings

Patchings Summer Term Watercolour Course delivered through our newly designed website. All three sessions this term are brought to your home online. The course is designed for those who have some knowledge of the medium of watercolour.
This course comprises of 3 Sessions - one released each month on the dates shown below each session section.
Each class will include the teaching package required to complete the session. Other resources include video presentations, downloadable images and instructions, gallery showing completed work, individual and group critique. To assist further an easy to follow facility to send in photographs of your work with any accompanying comments. There may be the odd surprise too!

Session 1 - to be released on Monday 22 June.
Completed work required by 13 July
Session 2 - to be released on Monday 13 July.
Completed work required by 3 August
Session 3 to be released on Monday 3 August
Completed work required by 24 August

A form will be available on the Course Home Page for any questions. Here you will find the simple process to send in your picture for the gallery page and critique.At the conclusion of each session will be an online video reviewing the work of the group very much as would happen over coffee at Patchings.
The dates planned for the three video reviews are as follows:-
Session 1 : Saturday 18 July
Session 2 : Saturday 8 August
Session 3 : Saturday 29 August

Course Materials.
During this course the materials required will be from the following list:-
Watercolour paints
Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue
Cadmium Red, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber,Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Yellow, Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Cadmium Lemon or Lemon Yellow.
Gouache white and watercolour white (both optional)
Please do not worry if you do not have this complete palette.
Range of watercolour brushes. Masking fluid or drawing gum - optional.
Not surface (cold press) watercolour paper, ideally a heavy paper (300llb, 250llb or 200llb)) to avoid the need to stretch.
